What kind of breakfast food do you take camping?
It depends on a few factors. What time of camping are you planning? If you are doing any type of car camping you can plan just about anything as long as you have a way to keep ingredients cool as needed. If you are going backpacking easy, light and packed with energy recipes are best. Also, are you the type of camper that would consider camp cooking the most enjoyable part of your trip or are you more so the type that likes to indulge in the activities of camping like hiking, swimming, canoeing, ect.? I personally want to keep the cooking side of things super simple so we can go exploring. Our meals take little time to prepare and are often times planned the night before.

What type of breakfast meals can you prepare ahead of time
Not a morning person?! That's OK, you can still make delicious camping breakfast meals ahead of time to give you that jump start at sunrise. Some of our favorites is Granola bars, Apple Raisin Oatmeal (just add water) and who doesn't love Blueberry muffins.
How to reheat pancakes while camping
Wrap your pancakes in tin foil. Pancakes need to be encased in foil, otherwise they will end up too dry. Cook over the campfire for about 10 minutes, until the pancakes are warm and soft. Enjoy!
What is the best way to cook if you don't own a camping stove
Cooking over a Campfire is the best – all day!! There are many useful camp kitchen cookware on the market today. In fact, you can find a whole article on our site HERE that will share some of our favorite camp kitchen options.
How do you dispose of grease when camping
Mmm BACON xoxo – it's such a great treat, but what in the world do you do with all that grease? The worst thing you could do is pour it out by that lone tree. It will attract animals into the campsite, which can be not only dangerous for humans, but also dangerous for the animals. First, check with your campground to see if they offer any animal proof dumpsters. If not then the next best option would be to pour it into a container to take home with you.
Do not burn your cooking grease! Burning your camping grease in the fire is considered burning food and our goal is to preserve the Leave No Trace Behind guidelines.
Not sure how to clean your camping cast iron cookware?
No worries, we've got you covered. Check out the easy to clean steps in our article HERE.
